"Hawk Girl"

This came about while I was working with handmade papers and old photographs to create Cute as a Button. My practice experiments with media and materials often turn into collages of their own, incorporating scraps and appealing bits I couldn't fit into the original work. In this collage, the baby and the little girl are me, the hawk in flight was from a newspaper article about our local hawks, and the perching hawk is a print of one of my own photos. Those are rose petals in the handmade paper.
